Stay in the Conversation When It Shifts
Catch the shift before it carries you with it

Course Description
Conversations can change quickly. A comment lands wrong. The energy moves. Someone gets quiet, defensive, dismissive, or suddenly agreeable. By the time people realize the conversation has shifted, they are often already reacting to it. This course helps participants notice that change while they are still in it. Instead of replaying the conversation later and wishing they had handled it differently, they learn how to track what changed, recognize their own reaction, and step back in with clarity. Through active exercises and real scenarios, participants practice staying engaged when conversations become tense, unclear, or emotionally charged. They build tools for regaining their footing, choosing language more intentionally, and staying in the conversation without withdrawing, escalating, or losing the thread. Participants will: Recognize when a conversation begins to shift Identify reactions that disrupt clarity and presence Notice how tone, timing, and assumptions change the exchange Practice tools for regaining control in real time Step back in with clarity instead of replaying the moment later
